I have a new obsession that will, like the others, probably dwindle as time goes on.  Her name is Reba McEntire.  Have you ever watched her show, Reba?????  BEST SHOW EVER.  That particular love of mine will never go away.  I would love to get all the shows on DVD.  That'd be so cool. :)  Anyway, I'm starting to listen to her music more, and even though I don't tend to be a country music fan, I like a lot of her stuff.  She's such a freaking legend, it's unbelievable.  There are a lot of songs that are like, household songs, right?  That everyone knows, but they're hers, and I didn't know it.  So yeah, I like her.  Anyway, I have another blog.  Read it.  I'm on there more than this one.

The Story (Digi-Pak)

I think the honeymoon stage of having a xanga is over.  I'm not so urgent about writing in here.  The truth is, I don't have a whole lot to write.  I don't have that job in the bank anymore.  They hired someone full time, so I got the boot.  Whatever, I really am not upset at all.  I've been biking a lot, trying to write a curriculum for next year, and working at Michella's barn a whole lot.  It's been good.  I went shopping, got some new clothes.  That's cool, right?  And on Thursday morning I begin my trek to New York City where I will spend the weekend with my immediate family for my brother's graduation from New York Academy of Art.  He's getting his master's in painting.  I'm pretty proud of him.  He's a cool kid.  The week following I will really have to kick myself in the rear and start packing.  Today I actually cleaned my kitchen, mostly.  I need to do more of this putting my stuff together thing.  I am still obsessed with Grey's Anatomy.  And I have no idea how I am getting from the airport to my house this Sunday.  I guess I'll just have to take a bus.  Next Thursday, the 23rd, Fred is coming to the states.  He is bussing in from Philadelphia, and I am picking him up from the bus station at 6:30 in the morning.  Then we will take another bus to my house, and somehow end up back at Michella's.  It will be really good to see him.  That weekend I will be moving back to Indianapolis.  I'm like a machine.  I am a tank.  I am a rock.  In fact, I am an island.  Nothing phases me.  Nothing matters.  I can do it all.

I got the new Brandi Carlile cd.  I love it.

Not a lot to say, truthfully.  I love ice cream.  I am teaching 7 classes next year, which is almost unheard of, and I have a ton of planning to do, which means I probably won't be getting a job, I will just be planning the whole time I am home.  Also, I have only one month left in Buffalo, and I feel like I have SO much to do.  But when I get home from work, I don't want to do anything.  My job makes me lethargic.  Boo.

And, I love ice cream.

Just to let you know, I still hate my job.

mandtbank

Boo.  Hiss.

But at least there are some pretty dang funny people there.  Today Arlene (one of my old ladies) goes, "I think by Friday I'll be too tired to get drunk.  But that's what I'm going to do on Saturday - get drunk.  Really, I'll just have a glass of wine and that'll be it."  I was dying.  She gets funnier by the day.

But this weekend I am going to Houghton!

Bustin'Out!

Unfortunately, none of those people will be there.  But it will be really good to be there to see a lot of people that I love and miss.  It's strange - I could not WAIT to get out of there, but I miss it more than I can handle it.  I'm so stoked to go back, even for just a couple of days.  Isn't that sick??  Oh well.

Anyway, I'll soon be back in Indianapolis.  As in, I'm going back at the end of May.  At least, that's the tentative plan...

indiana

I live in the dark red portion, which is Lawrence.  It's a sub-city in Indianapolis with it's own city council, etc.  Yep, that's where I grew up.  Notice all the lines going through Indy?  Those are interstate highways.  That's why they call my city the Crossroads of America.

Anyway, pretty soon, I'll be in friggin' Alaska.  By "pretty soon" I mean in about three and a half months.

Hey!  That's my town - Unalakleet (you-na-kleet).  Isn't it beautiful? :)  Also small, but great.  Okay?  It's great.

Anyway, really, I just wanted to blog with pictures.  Later kids.  Stay in school.

(Whoa, I have soooo much to do to prepare for all of this...)

It's raining outside today.  This is bad because if it keeps raining it makes it harder for me to ride my bike to work, and riding my bike is a great way to save 3 bucks a day on bus rides.  Plus, that's 6 miles more of riding my bike than I would normally have.  And, commuting takes less time on my bike than it does taking the bus and walking.  Anyway, I hope it isn't raining in the morning.

I would also like to take this moment to say that I am a pretty good cook.  I really enjoy making it, but most of all I enjoy eating it.  I make some pretty dang good stuff.  (But I hate hate hate washing the dishes - although, I got this new sponge today for the dishes, and I was really happy with the results.  It made my life easier.  New Sponge, I love you.)

Ew, my skin is really dry and itchy.

Hey, I only have less than 2 more months in Buffalo.  Crazy.  In 11 days I will turn 23 years old.  And in less than 4 months I will be in Alaska, starting my new job.  PSYCHO.  But the time in Indy will be good.  I'm hoping to get a part time job, which would help a lot.  I'm also hoping to maybe spend a week with my extended family in Colorado Springs before I move north.  These are all ideas in my head, and I don't know if they will actually work out.  I'll let you know.

Well, this has been sufficiently pointless.  Thanks for listening!
